RESEARCH:

Neuroimaging in traumatic brain injury

My research focuses on using neuroimaging to better understand outcome after traumatic brain injury (TBI) across a range of human patient populations, including children and adolescents, military service members, and athletes. We use big data techniques and data science approaches to combine cohorts from around the world. Our work is highly collaborative, as the sample sizes needed to achieve adequate statistical power are massive. I am the co-PI of the ENIGMA Brain Injury working group (https://enigma.ini.usc.edu/), co-PI of the Imaging Biomarker Core for the CARE4Kids study (https://www.care4kidsstudy.com/about) and a member of LIMBIC-CENC (https://www.limbic-cenc.org/).
